Meet our Pastors

Hello, we’re Howie and April, and we’re the lead pastors and planters of Northwest Vineyard Church. We’ve been married since 2004 and have two teenagers, and one cat. We love drinking coffee, sitting with friends, eating good food, and of course Jesus.

Before planting Northwest Vineyard, we’ve been involved in various leadership roles. Previously, we’ve been teaching in local West Auckland schools, we both love to teach, and have a heart for being around children, families, and people in general. We’ve also been involved in working with youth as Youth Pastors, as well as other various pastoral roles. In 2011, we discovered the Vineyard Church movement and realised that we had found our family. Over this time, we served on staff at Urban Vineyard as Children and Families Pastors, and also in a role as the national Children’s Ministry coordinators for Vineyard, NZ.

Looking back, we can see Gods fingerprints on our lives to prepare us for this adventure. We’re so excited to be on a beautiful journey, planting what’s been a seed in our hearts. A place to pursue Jesus and play our part in his story. A place to grow deeper, to form more into His likeness. A home to come as we are, to belong in an authentic community that supports and cares for one another. A place to make a difference, living out our love for the community, this city, and communities around the world, together!

We can’t wait for what God is going to do through this incredible community. We’d love for you to join us too!
